Taavi Oramo is both conductor, singer, clarinet player and computer musician. He successfully debuted as a conductor with Tapiola Sinfonietta in 2017.
This year Oramo has been conducting for, among other things, Sinfonia Lahti and the Radio Symphony Orchestra. Oramo is Päivi and Paavo Lipponen Foundation’s young vocalist for the year 2018. He has been a soloist for Helsinki Baroque Orchestra HeBo and the Finnish Baroque Orchestra. As a clarinetist, Oramo has performed as a soloist and chamber musician.
Oramo’s work with live electronics has been mainly presented in connection with the events of the Tölöläb ensemble. The members of Tölöläb were selected in 2016 for the young artists of the Pro Musica Foundation.
Oramo has produced several events; the Varjele Dance Festival for Helsinki Party Games 2017, the Eloa Festival 2015-17 and the Miksei Festival 2016.
